Adair Countian abroad wants to join Columbia, KY, VFW

LETTERS and FEEDBACK
In response to seeing: PHOTO
Ed:

I am a life member of VFW Post 3822 in Panama, which I understand that at one time had one of the largest VFW Posts in the world.

I'm afraid most all us "gringoes" have left since the Canal was returned to Panama and Post 3822's website has now disappeared.

Much the same has happened here in Spain. We're down from ten bases during 80's to one now and there are no veterans organization.

Since I "joined up" from Knifley 60 years ago, it looks like I should "hang up" my VFW hat there. Do you know if that post has a web site? Best to all.

s/Richard Hovious
Spain. Originally and always from Knifley, KY
Note: Good to hear from you. To my knowledge, VFW Post 6097, Columbia, KY, does not have a website yet. The Post is very active under the leadership of the Current Commander, Jimmy Luttrell. We'll pass the word along. You couldn't find a finer group of veterans in the world. -ED
