LETTERS and FEEDBACK

From ColumbiaMagazine.com

Thanks for sending your, second, duplicate letter concerning the heat situation at Colonel William Casey School. We appreciate and respect your point of view, and your interesting, rational approach to school issues. However, the letter will not be printed without complete contact information, if is printed at all. Occasionally, letters will be printed with the name of the sender withheld, but if it is of a controversial nature (yours calls for an action which would likely create a controversy) it would only be posted on ColumbiaMagazine.com if signed.

Your interest in improvements in Adair County Schools is certainly a welcome signal that more and more people do want to join in what appears to be a movement to help. I hope you are taking part in your school's PTA, attend as many school board meetings as possible, and are active in school board elections. And, with the legislature in session, I hope you will write to our State Senators and Representatives about improving funding for Adair County Schools. The Adair County School District cannot provide the facilities without adequate financial support. -Ed Waggener
