Supt. Treece announces $150 prize in logo contest

Dear Adair County Community Members:

At the October 4, 2007, meeting of the Board of Education, the winning slogan for our contest was announced. Out of eighty (80) entries, the slogan chosen was:

Learning for a Lifetime

We would now like to invite the community to participate in a logo contest using this slogan. It should be a design that lends itself to being used on a T-shirt or button or for other appropriate uses. The wining entrant will be awarded a prize of $150.00.

Please submit you entries to either the school principals offices or the Adair County Board of Education not later than Thursday, January 31, 2008. A comittee will then select three (3) finalists and the community will be asked to vote for a winner.

Entries should have the logo only on on the first page with a separate, attached sheet with the entrant's name, address and telephone number. This will allow logos to be evaluated without knowing who submitted each entry until a winner is selected.

We appreciate all students who participated in the slogan contest and encourage any student or interested community member to consider participating in this new logo contest.

Sincerely

Darrell Treece, Superintendent
Adair County Schools
