Adair Fiscal Court approves 2nd reading, budget amendment

With a five members present the Adair County Fiscal Court was barely seated before approving the second reading of a budget amendment, related to the acceptance of $499,262.74, a grant for improvements in the Adair County Road system, made in the last month of the Governor Ernie Fletcher administration.

CJE Ann Melton presided at the Thursday, December 27, 2007 meeting.



The 5-0 vote came on a motion by Magistrate Billy Dean Coffey (5), seconded by Magistrate Sammy Baker (3), with Magistrates Danny Goodin (1), Wid Harris (2), and Terry Hadley (7), affirming.

Also present were Ray Hutchison, representing the Adair County Attorney's Office and Lisa Lee, Administrative Assistant in the County Judge Executive's Office.

The meeting was scheduled as an emergency special called meeting. The emergency, CJE Melton said, was to get a second reading in before the end of the quarter.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00amCT, and lasted less than one minute.
