Obituary: Stella Wilson Parson, 64, member Old Concord UMC

She was a member of a respected Gradyville family and was until recently a longtime resident of that community. She will be remembered by so many at Summit Manor for the wonderful food enjoyed during her 20 year career there.

Stella Parson, 64, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab, Columbia, KY, died there Friday, December 21, 2007, at 12:04pm.

The funeral service will be Monday, December 24, 2007, at 10:00amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro Willard Parson the officiating clergy.



She was a daughter of the late William (Bill) and Florence Scott Wilson.

She was a member of Old Concord United Methodist Church. She is warmly remembered for the wonderful food she cooked during her 20 year career at Summit Manor in Columbia.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Parson, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Reta and Dan Gentry and Patsy and Mark Fudge, all of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Kourtney and Kallie Gentry, and April and Johnathan Coffey

  • One great-grandchild: Taylor Burton

  • Two sisters: Gertrude Burris and Emma Rodgers, both of Columbia, KY

  • Her mother-in-law: Ada Parson, Columbia, KY

  • Special friends: Terry and Christine Patton

  • And several nieces, nephews, and friends
Burial will be in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Sunday, December 23, 2007, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
