Obituary: George Timothy, (Skittles) Salyers, 22

Member of the South Fork Separate Baptist, and was farrier, horse trainer.
George Timothy "Skittles" Salyers, Jr., 22, Gentry Mill Road, Columbia, KY, died as the result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 10:37amCT on Gentry Mill Road.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 22, 2007, at 10:00amCT at South Fork Separate Baptist Church in Casey County with Bro. Richie Curtis and Bro. Cliffort Dehart the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the South Fork Cemetery in Casey County.



He is survived by his wife, Sondra Rodgers Salyers, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • To daughters: Kaitlyn Salyers and Garbrielle Salyers

  • His father: George Timothy Salyers, Sr., of Liberty, KY

  • His mother: Dorothy Emerson George and step-father Ronald, Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Jennifer Sanford, Jamestown, KY; and Dakota Ann Salyers, Liberty, KY

  • Step-sister: Heather Johnson, Jamestown, KY

  • Paternal grandmother: Edith Salyers, Liberty, KY

  • His father in law and mother in law: Noel and Vickie Rodgers of Russell Springs, KY

  • Brother in law: Richie Rodgers of Russell Springs, KY

  • Several aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Cecil Dillard Salyers.

He attended the South Fork Separate Baptist Church in Casey County and was a farrier and horse trainer.

Visitation will be after 5:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY and after 9:00amCT, Saturday, at the Church.
