Getting ready for next tenant at Columbia Shopping Center

2007-12-15 - Columbia Shopping Center - Photo By Ed Waggener, assisted by Buck Campbell.
LARRY RAPER & TOMMY HUBBARD
of First Construction Company, Corbin, KY, were taking the old Columbia Pay Less grocery store back to its bare walls on Saturday, December 15, 2007. The location has been, over nearly three decades, a Key Market, an IGA, Columbia Food Center, and most recently, Pay Less. Thousands of happy deli customers and eat-in diners remember the great food which across the counter, and, of course, Mary Ritchie Lowe Bennett brightening their day. Mr. Raper said he isn't privy to what will go into the prime location later. "We were just sent here to make it naked," he said. "That's what we'll be doing for the next couple of weeks."
