Obituary: Shirley Geneva Johnson, 68

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Columbia First Baptist Church
Shirley Geneva Johnson, 68, 815 Taylor Street, Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 1:45pm, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 1:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Leon Lasley, Jr., officiating.



She was a daughter of the late Frank and Della Jones Flowers, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Aurora, IL, and attended First Baptist Church in Columbia.

She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) "Sapp Johnson, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Three daughters: Sherri Mmatthews and Linda Rea Johnson, both of Columbia, KY; and Britnee Posey, Pine Island, MN

  • One son: Cory Johnson, Hattiesburg, MS

  • Three grandchildren: Sherita Johnson, Columbia, KY; Shaun Johnson, Rockford, IL; and Antaeus Simmons, Aurora, IL

  • One great granchild: Jaron Johnson
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6:00pmCT, Friday, December 14, 2007.
