69 will graduate in first ever CU fall commencement

For the first time in her history, Campbellsville University will hold a fall commencement ceremony Friday, December 14, 2007 at 7:00pmET/6:00pmCT in the Ransdell Chapel.

Degrees will be conferred to 69 students.

Both graduate and undergraduate students will be honored at this ceremony.

Dr. Skip Alexander, senior pastor of Campbellsville Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.




Alexander, who says his summary phrase is "I have a love for preaching and a love for people," received his doctor of ministry from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL. in 2007.

He also received his master of divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville and his bachelor of arts degree in religion from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY.

He is the former pastor of West Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville, where he served from 1995 to 2002.

Alexander has been with Campbellsville Baptist Church since 2002 and has served as an adjunct professor in the CU School of Theology and chairman of the Church Relations Council of Campbellsville University.

He is active in the Taylor County Baptist Association and serves as the chaplain for the Taylor County Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

Alexander also had an article titled "Questions of the Bible" published in the Western Recorder, the Baptist newspaper for Kentucky.
