Obituary: Opal L. Nankivell, 88 member Campbellsville UMC Mrs. Nankivell was a retired Central Kentucky educator and was a member of a respected North Adair County family. Opal L. Nankivell, 88, Bledsoe, KY, formerly of the Pellyton Community in Adair County, and also of Campbellsville, KY, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the home of her daughter. The funeral service will be Thursday, December 13, 2007, at 1:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Ed Henry the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Pellyton Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Funeral Home. She was born July 20, 1919, the daughter o the late James Thomas and Ollie Pelly Lemmon of Adair County and the widow of Rev. Thomas Nankivell.She is survived by the following:
Mrs. Nankivell was a retired school teaching, having taught in the Central KY area. She was a member of Campbellsville First United Methodist Church and had attended the Benham First United Church in Benham, KY.
