By Tony Harvey
Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story

I would like for all who can please take the time to either send acard or letter of support to Capt.Shane Pollard, along with all of his comrades in arms who arein Iraq putting their lives on the line everyday.

While we are all back here at home in relatively safe conditions, I donot want this to turn into a political statement. Even if you don'tagree with our service people being in Iraq or Afghanistan, we allstill need to show them our support.

Let me share with you a bit of history on the 184th EOD unit thatCapt. Pollard is serving with. This brief outline on the history andbackground of the 184th just entails the brave work it has performedup until the Vietnam War, I would need to write a book to complete thehistory through 2007.

If after you read just a little history about this unit I know you will feel compelled to support Captain Shane Pollard and all the other brave men and women serving with him.

This unit has a long history as do many others in the military do I'msure. This one stands out to me for it's meritorious bravery that itshows everyday.

Regards,

Tony Harvey
Wishing all Happy Holidays
