She was the grandmother of Amy Smith Waggener, formerly of Columbia, KY. Her funeral service will be at 11:00amET/10:00CT, Tuesday, December11, 2007, at Advance Memorial United Methodist Church. 1007 BellefonteRoad Flatwoods, KY 41139. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 9pmET,Monday, December 10, 2007, at Carmen Funeral Home, 2301 Argillite Road, Flatwoods, KY. Mrs. Conlon was born March 18, 1922, in Oldtown, Greenup County, KY.She was the widow of the late John J. "Joker" Conlon. She is survived by the following:
During World War II, she worked in defense plants, and could shareheartwarming memories of those hard times. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Burtis Scaggs andGlenn Scaggs, and two sisters, Opal Riley and Mary Yee. Interment will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
