COW BREAKFAST: Bovines rule, enjoy big buffet at Garlin

2007-12-08 - Photo By Ed Waggener.
AS BIRDS AWAIT THEIR TURN from the electric lines, cows rule, enjoying a big breakfast on KY 206. The solid black cow at the far end was privileged, apparently by his own accord, to dine at a place of honor. Number 18, foreground, is either acting as docent and wants to tell us something about the event, or that's a pitiful look that she needs a place at table. Consider, also, the significance of the cow standing sentry, halfway down the line. The scene is an everyday sight for motorists on KY 206 who pass one of the Mikie Hatcher Farms, this one in North Garlin, KY, toward Christine, Purdy, Ella, Eunice, Neatsville, Pellyton, Ellistown and the beyond country..
