Edmonton Christmas Parade is December 8, 2007

Fire chiefs will serve as Grand Marshals of Parade

The Metcalfe County Christmas Parade in Edmonton, KY, will be Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 1:00pmCT. The Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce conducts the parade.

This year's parade theme is "Unwrap the Magic of Christmas".

Edmonton-Metcalfe County Fire Department Chiefs Austin Bragg, Dale Rowlett,Gary Fancher and Jerry Clemmons will serve as the Grand Marshals.



The parade will follow the same route as in previous years, beginning at theMetcalfe County Middle School, proceeding to the and circling the square andthen returning to the school.

All registration forms should be returned to the Edmonton-Metcalfe CountyChamber of Commerce office by noon Friday, December 7, 2007. However; one mayregister the day of the parade between the hours of 9am and 11amCT. #Entriesarriving after 11amCT may be in the parade, but are not guaranteed to bejudged.

All entries must be at the Middle School parking lot by 12pmCT on Saturday,December 8, 2007.

The eight divisions and prize monies for participants are:
  1. Float (Large Business/Industry): Cash prize 1st place $150, 2nd $100 &3rd $75
  2. Float (Small Business): Cash prize 1st place $150, 2nd $100 & 3rd $75
  3. Float (School): Cash prize 1st place $150, 2nd $100 & 3rd $75
  4. Float (Civic): Cash prize 1st place $150, 2nd $100 & 3rd $75
  5. Float (Church): 1st place $150, 2nd $100 & 3rd $75
  6. Vehicle: Cash prize 1st place $25, 2nd $15 & 3rd $10
  7. Miscellaneous: Cash prize 1st place $25, 2nd $15 & 3rd $10
  8. Equestrian: (will not be judged) Will gather at the former DollarGeneral Store/Hubbard Repair parking lot and enter the parade from thatlocation
There are no entry fees.

All entries must be decorated for the holidays.

Without the generosity of these sponsors, it would be most difficult to conduct the parade.
