Five LWC soccer women win All-American honors By Chris Wells, Director of Public Information, LWC Athletics Five Lindsey Wilson College womens soccer players received national honors over the weekend as the NAIA announced their 2007 Womens Soccer All-Americans. Lindsey Wilson sophomore midfielder Omolyn Davis was selected First-Team All-American, sophomore defender Yolanda Hamilton selected to the second-team, freshman midfielder Caitlin Burke to the third-team and sophomore goalkeeper Carrie Revlett and freshman forward Kimmia Parker were named Honorable Mention All-American. Davis led the Blue Raiders in scoring with 46 points during the season. She amassed 14 goals and team-high 18 assists. The Kingston, Jamaica, native, follows up her Mid-South Conference Player of the Year award with the first-team honor. The year-end honor is the second for Davis. Last season she was named Second-Team All-American. Hamilton, a St. Thomas, Jamaica, native, scored a pair of goals and assisted on five others during the season. She helped anchor a defense that allowed just 12 goals in 23 games during the season. Hamilton repeats as a Second-Team All-American from the 2006 season. Burke scored twice and amassed five assists in her first season as a Blue Raider. The Glendale, AZ., native, helped control the midfield throughout the season with her hard-nose work ethic. Revlett, a Shelbyville, KY, native, recorded 14 shutouts during the season and finished with a 0.51goals against average. Parker, a Clarendon, Jamaica, native, scored a team-high 15 goals during the season. She also added seven assists for 37 points, second-best on the team. All five Blue Raiders earned First-Team Region XI honors.Lindsey Wilson finished the season with their second straight Final Four appearance and their fourth in five seasons.
