Obituary: Carmine P. Volpe, 87

Mr. Volpe was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a retired factory superintendent

Carmine P. Volpe, 87, of 750 Jones Chapel Lane, Columbia, KY, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 10:40pmCT at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Angelina Antinelli Volpe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Caroline Melton Volpe in 2004, and two brothers, Joe and Angelo Volpe.

He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired factory superintendent.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Greg and his wife, Kathy Volpe of Columbia, KY, and Christopher Volpe of New York

  • One sister: Virginia Stryker, Indianapolis

  • Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren
Cremation has been chose and there will be no local services.
