ENCORE in concert 2:00pm Sun., Dec. 2, 2007 Group will perform at Dream Depot on second day of "Christmas in Columbia." in fundraiser for trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL, in February 2008 By Patty Jones Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Adair County School's Show Choir, "ENCORE", will present a special Christmas program at the Dream Depot on Sunday, December 2, at 2:00pmCT. The show entitled, "A Trip Down Christmas Lane", will feature the talented group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from both John Adair Intermediate School and Adair County Elementary School. ENCORE has been invited to perform at the prestigious "Singabration" at Disney World in Orlando, Florida during February of 2008. This is quite an honor in that they will be one of only two elementary level groups performing and the only group from Kentucky. The choir will rehearse with Singabration leader, John Jacobson, and present their final performance on the steps of Cinderella's Castle and be included in one of the famed Disney World parades. The choir is working hard to raise the funds for this adventure. The matinee show on December 2,will give the public the opportunity to hear the group, get in the Christmas spirit, and support the group all at the same time. The group is directed by Miss Cyndi Crowder. Tickets for the show are $5 and may be obtained from any member of the group. For more information, or to get tickets you may contact Miss Crowder at 270-384-3367. This story was posted on 2007-11-29 07:40:31
