Obituary: Doris Mae Welch, 87, dies in Glasgow

She born in Adair Co., KY, the daughter of the late George and Dolly Tarter McLean
Doris Mae Welch, 87, Glasgow, KY, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 2:30pmCT at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, KY, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.



This obituary is a service of Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY
A native of Adair County, she was a daughter of the late George and Dolly Tarter McLean, and the widow of Ray Welch. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Linda Welch and David and Nicole Welch, all of Glasgow, KY

  • Two daughters: Peggy Welch and Sue Cannon, both of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sisters: Barkley Dulin and Bobbie Ellis Burton, both of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren, six great granchildren, and several nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Herman, Russell, Willard, James and Buddy McLean; and two sisters, Thelma Whitekettle and Evelyn McKinley.

Visitation will be after 11:00amCT, Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 E Washington Street, Glasgow, KY 42141. The phone is (270) 651-2080.
