Murder by Ambush: Wife heard shot that killed Clifton Scott Ed, Roberta Dooley requested information regarding the death of Clifton Scott in 1933. I have nothing written, but my father was well aware of this unfortunate event, and I have heard him tell the story many times. Mr. Scott was murdered by ambush. He was returning home by foot at dusk. He was close enough to his house that his wife, Amanda, clearly heard the gunshot ring out. He was dead by the time he was found, and no one apparently saw the gunman. This event remains a mystery, as my understanding is that no arrest was ever made nor a suspect identified. If anyone was aware of a possible motive, it was kept secret as well.s/Ben (Breeding) Click here to read related, "Help needed, information on the death of Breeding man in 1933."
