Two Worlds, Two Dreams tells beautiful story of friendship renewed after 30 years, coming from Africa to America, Columbia, Kentucky, and three years of successful scholarship at Lindsey Wilson College

By Sue Stivers

Margery Henderson, Burkesville, KY, author, will be at a book presentation and signing in Cranmer Dining Center, at Lindsey Wilson College, on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from 10:30am to 2:00pmCT and from 4:30pm to 7:30pmCT.

Margery Henderson is the author of Two Worlds Two Dreams.

The book is a story of two women brought together by the grace of God. In 1968 the author, her husband Glenn and their daughter Cindy, answered the call and appointment from The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to serve in the small country of Liberia, West Africa. The author and her husband both taught at Ricks Institute and the University of Liberia.

Due to illness the mission work was cut short (after 6 years) and the family returned to America, leaving behind many very good friends.

Thirty years later, in 2004, the author was contacted by one of her former students inquiring about the possibility of his young daughter, Lombeh Brown, coming to America to attend College and also to escape the raging Civil War in that African country.

What follows is a fast moving, heart touching story of friendship and devotion. Due to the author's determined efforts and with very unselfish assistance from Dr. William T. Luckey, President of Lindsey Wilson College and others, Lombeh Brown is doing well in her third year as a student at Lindsey Wilson College.

The author, Margery Henderson, will be in attendance at both of the scheduled times on November 20 for conversation and to also autograph the book. A portion of the book sales will be donated to Lindsey Wilson College.
