KSP releases name of Russell County murder victim

Kentucky State Police say the victim of the Thursday, November 8, 2007 murder on Decatur Road in Russell County has been identified as Pamela Gaye Copley, , age 40, of Russell County, who was pronounced dead by Russell County Coroner Larry Skaggs yesterday.

Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia had been contacted at 10:20amCT, Thursday morning, November 8, 2007, by Russell County Dispatch about a shooting on Decatur Road.



A short time later, after a brief foot chase, at 11:46am, Thursday, the victim's husband, Ronald Copley, was arrested. He was taken to the Russell County Hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening, self-inflicted wounds.

Once Mr. Copley is released from the Russell County Hospital, he will be lodged in the Russell County Jail, according to the KSP.
