Greensburg, Albany, KY oilmen died in copter crash Helicopter was owned by Fly-n-Dollar of Nashville, TN. Bobby Gene Curry, Greensburg, and Mark Shearer, Albany, both well-known in Adair County oil industry, die in Tennessee crash, along with the pilot, Trevor Noble of Nashville. Two links follow. Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story More news is coming in on the deadly helicopter crash Monday in Fentress County, TN. The helicopter, is owned by Fly-n-Dollar of Nashville, TN. The owner and pilot, Trevor Noble, was killed in the accident. He has been frequently hired by executives of Rick-Rod Oil Company of Columbia, KY, and Young Oil of Knob Lick to fly oilfields in Gradyville, in Metcalfe County, and in various locations in Tennessee.. Oliman Andy Withers of Columbia said that he had learned that the two men killed were Bobby Gene Curry, of Greensburg, KY, and Mark Shearer of Albany, KY. Both men, he said, were well known in Adair County oil circles. While both Young Oil of Knob Lick in Metcalfe County, and Rick-Rod of Columbia have frequently hired the helicopter, neither own it. Both companies have used its services to fly over the Gradyville Oilfield, oil production areas of Metcalfe County, and in Tennessee. According to local reports, Young had just gotten off the helicopter when it crashed and witnessed the crash. "Everyone here is really torn up over the crash," Rhonica Herren a spokesperson for Rick-Rod Oil said. "We knew all three men really well, especially Bobby Gene Curry." The crash occurred Monday, November 5, 2007, in Fentress County, Tennessee (Jamestown), a few miles south of Albany, KY. Withers said that, Anthony Young, who frequently hires the craft, is also familiar face in the Gradyville field and that the helicopter had been flying over the field in the past week.
