Fire destroys vacant house on Cane Valley Road Sixteen firemen stay on the scene for three hours. KSP and Fire Marshals office investigating. By Donald Hare Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story When the Adair County Fire Department arrived at fire at a vacant house on Cane Valley Road last night, they found it completely engulfed in flames and a total loss. The house, owned by John Sheham of Columbia, KY, was located at 3509 Cane Valley Road, Columbia, KY.The ADFD responded to a call at 8:24pmCT on Wednesday night November 7, 2007. Sixteen firefighters wer on the scene for around three hours. The fire is now under investigation by the KY State Police and the State Fire Marshals office.
