Jabez Quilt Seminar is January 22 to 26, 2008

January will bring excitement to quilters in Kentucky as renowned quilt teacher, Anita Shackelford, shares her expertise at the Jabez Quilt Seminar. The Jabez Quilt Seminar will be held at the Kentucky Leader Center from January 22 to 26, 2008.

Twenty quilt teachers will be teaching forty workshops for quilters of all skill levels. Some of the topics include: machine quilting, wearables, colorwash, hand and machine applique, square in a square, quilt in a day, caring for your sewing machine, quick techniques, and hand embroidery.



The year 2008 will be the sixth one for the Jabez Quilt Seminar. The featured teacher will be Anita Shackelford, who is internationally recognized for combining applique and fine hand quilting in the 19th Century Style. Anita will be teaching 3 workshops and lecturing for all participants during an evening program.

One hundred fifteen quilters are expected to attend the 2008 Jabez Quilt Seminar. All registration information is online at www.ca.uky.edu/klc. Anyone without internet access may call the Rockcastle County Extension Office at (606)256-2403 and ask to be mailed a brochure. -KELLI BONIFER.
