Saturday night collision at Dillon & Greensburg causes injury to 1

A two-car collision at the intersection of Dillon and Greensburg Streets, Saturday night, November 3, 2007, at 8:40pm, resulted in injury to one passenger.

The crash occurred, according to Columbia Police, when a 1997 Jeep Cherokee operated by Stephanie Nitschke of Campbellsville, KY, was pulling out from Dillon Street and came into the path of a 1995 Chevy Tracker operated by Jonathan Grant, Columbia, KY, who was traveling west.

A passenger in the Grant vehicle, Jenee Devine, was transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by the Adair County Emergency Medical Service, where she was treated for injuries received in the collision.

Nitschke and her passenger, Steven Cushman, were wearing seatbelts. Neither passenger in the other vehicle had seatbelts in use at the time of the impact, police say.

The incident was investigated by Columbia Police Officer Jr. Murphy, who was assisted by Columbia Officer Brad Scholl.
