Two historical markers to be dedicated Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007

Two Kentucky Historic Markers will be dedicated Saturday, November 3, 2007 in Columbia. At 10:00amCT a marker telling about the Male and Female School will be dedicated at 305 E. Guardian Street. That marker will be next to the horse mounting block left from years ago.

At 10:45amCT the second marker in front of the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church will be dedicated.

Both markers relate and help us remember significant happenings in Columbia and Kentucky history. The markers are placed by the Kentucky Historical Society and sponsored by the City of Columbia.

A reception will follow in the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church. -VONNIE KOLBENSCHLAG
