Classical guitarist to perform at Slider Hall, Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 With one photo By Duane Bonifer Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story Classical guitarist William Feasley will present a classical recital at Lindsey Wilson College. Feasley will present "An Evening of Classical Guitar: The French Perspective" at 7:00pmCT on Friday, October 19, 2007 in W.W. Slider Humanities Center Recital Hall. His performance, which is free and open to the public, is part of the 2007-08 Julia Franklin & C.C. Howard Lecture and Performance Series. Feasley is artist-in-residence at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County and is a music professor at the Levine School of Washington, D.C. Feasley is the first guitarist to be awarded the Peabody Conservatory's Artist Diploma. He earned a gold medal in the 1987 Panhellenic Guitar Competition in Athens, the 1990 and 1995 Baltimore Chamber Music Awards and a 1996 Governor's Citation for Outstanding Achievements in the Arts. Feasley made his debut in 1980 with the San Francisco Ballet's Don Juan. He has kept a busy international touring schedule since then, performing in Spain, the Caribbean, Greece, Yugoslavia, New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Iceland.
