Adair County Road Department maintenance schedule:
(Latest): Friday, October 12, 2007:Expect some brief delays at work points around county. We will begin blacktopping on the Snake Creek Road (District 6) starting at Hwy 551 and going 1.5 which will be close to the cemetery. Other work includes: 1) Ditching and installing tiles on the Lory Road (District 4). 2) Repair work on the Ross Cemetery Road (District 3) on the creek, pouring concrete. 3) Picking up roadside litter on Hwy 704. Please use extreme caution when driving in these areas and be prepared to have short wait periods. Have a Safe Weekend. Simon Finn Bridge on Kemp Road Closing: Effective Thursday, October 4, 2007, the Simon-Finn Bridge, on the Kemp Road will be closed to thru traffic, due to construction of a new bridge. NATURALLY GROWING, a solitary morning glory in a field on New Concord Road near General Patton Drive, just above Sulphur Creek, evokes a sounding horn in the sunlight. A profusion of blue, white, and lavender blooms have greeted travellers in recent weeks.
