LWC Men win, break school golf program record at Danville Men's golf team eight under par to beat host at Old Bridge Country Club in seven-team Centre College Invitational today By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Lindsey Wilson College mens golf team shot a program-record eight-under par 279 today, Saturday, October 6, to win the Centre (KY) College Invitational played at Old Bridge Golf Course in Danville, KY.< br>Lindsey Wilson junior Carlos Navarro led the Blue Raiders with career-low six-under par 66 over the 6,526-yard, par-72 layout. Navarro tied for medalist honors, but lost on the first playoff hole to Centres Chris Morris. The Blue Raiders beat the host by one stroke and Transylvania (KY) University by six strokes to claim their second win of the season. Lindsey Wilson freshman Joe Hood and Ross Crowe -- playing as an individual -- tied for fourth with two-under par 70s. Junior Zach Charbonneau fired a one-under par 71 and junior Abraham Gali and freshman Chris Lewis -- also playing as an individual -- shot even par 72. Sophomore Travis Radford ended with a 74. The Blue Raiders return to action on Monday and Tuesday in their final tournament of the fall season, as Lindsey Wilson hosts the LWC Fall Invitational at Maywood Country Club in Bardstown.
