Tourist cottages make comeback in Edmonton, KY

2007-10-04 - Stockton ST, Edmonton, - Photo By Gaye Shaw, Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce.
TOURIST CABINS WERE EVERYWHERE IN THE 1950's and then they faded from style. Now they're making a comeback and are much nicer than anything seen back then. Janice Wilson is opening her second tourist cabin at 414 West Stockton ST in Edmonton, KY. A ribbon cutting for the new one will be 10:00am on Friday, October 5, 2007, when tours of the new cabin will be offered. The cabins are less than one-half mile west of the Metcalfe County Courthouse. Each of the cabins contain a living area, sleeping area, bathroom and kitchenette, and are located in walking distance of restaurants, grocery shops, churches, and the Barnlot Theatre. The white car on the right is in Edmonton's new Dollar General Market.
