Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story

For the second week in a row the Lindsey Wilson College mens soccer team moved up in the NAIA poll.

After leaping three spots to fifth last week, the Blue Raiders (10-1-0) made a modest one spot jump this week into a tie at No. 4. Lindsey Wilson received 299 points from the 14 region raters and moves into a tie with Southern Nazarene (OK) University (8-0-2), who maintained their position from last week.

Lindsey Wilson is on a five-match winning streak after dropping its only loss (1-0) of the season on September 15 in double overtime to Azusa Pacific (CA) University.

Concordia (CA) University (9-0-0) holds onto the No. 1-ranking for the third week in row after receiving 348 points and 12 first-place votes. Azusa (9-0-0) is second with 332 points and Graceland (IA) University (9-0-1) is third with 328 points and the final two first-place votes.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday, October 4, as the Blue Raiders host Mid-Continent (KY) University at Lindsey Wilson Park.
