LWC Women Stay No. 3 in NAIA Soccer Raiders received one First Place vote in latest national ratings By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Lindsey Wilson College womens soccer team remains No. 3 in this weeks NAIA poll released today. The Blue Raiders received 327 points and one first-place vote from the 14 region raters to keep their secure hold on the No. 3-ranking. Lindsey Wilson leads No. 4-ranked Point Loma Nazarene (CA) University (295 points) by 32 points. Lee (TN) University (10-1-0) remained atop the poll for the second straight week after handing the Blue Raiders their only loss (2-0) of the season on September 22, 2007 The Lady Flames received 342 points, including eight first-place votes from the region raters. Azusa Pacific (CA) University (6-1-1) is second with 338 points and the final five first-place votes. Point Loma Nazarene (7-1-1) and No. 5-ranked Concordia (OR) University (10-2-0) -- who received 293 points -- rounds out this weeks top-five. Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1:00pmCT on Monday, October 8, as the Blue Raiders travel to Mid-South Conference foe University of the Cumberlands KY) in Williamsburg, KY.
