Donald E. Doss added to veterans list

Gerald Doss wrote: "My brother, Donald E Doss, was in the military from November 1955 for 3 years. He was a civilian for 2 years and then re-enlisted, serving total of 7 years. He is now in the nursing home. He served in Germany, Turkey."

Donald Doss is from the Pellyton area of Adair County. He was the very popular manager of the Adair County High School State Tournament basketball teams in 1954 and 1955. Besides his time in the service, was a journalist who for many years was editor of the Corydon, IN, Harrison County Press and was later involved in car sales.

The name is now added. To check the updated list, with "Donald E Doss, two enlistments seven years service, 1950s, Germany, Turkey;" added, Click Here for "Honoring Adair County Veterans who have served our country."

Our thanks to Gerald Doss for this entry and to everyone who is helping with this project. -EW
