There are two new photos of the Western Bypass posted today on ColumbiaMagazine.com from Donald Hare, aboard the Air Evac Helicopter. One is a fabulous look of the road straight on, but other is taken from the most unusual angle we've seen and is a fascinating study.

Campbellsville Road, aerial showing Western Bypass

2007-09-26 - Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo By Donald Hare.
THOSE DARING YOUNG MEN IN THE AIR EVAC HELICOPTER were able to show the Western Bypass from the fill, left, on the Campbellsville Road side Henson Farm, where a very long bridge, , will stretch 600-700 feet long it appears, across Russell Creek, to the fill on the right, before passing the silo on the Henson farm, going by the Hale-Loy-Parrish Lake on the far right, across Pelham Branch Road, to drop out of the photo around the Adair County Schools complex. In the upper left hand side of the photo, businesses along Grant Lane and the west side of Campbellsvile Road can be made out. The Square can be dimly made out within the upper left hand corner, and a white dot up there is a water tower.
