Three Lindsey Wilson College employees participated last weekend in the fourth-annual Grand Autumn Bicycle Ride Across Kentucky, also known as GABRAKY. Dean Adams, Dean of Students, Chris Schmidt, and Director of Public Safety Darwin Vickery.

Among those who assisted the riders on their 225-mile tour of Kentucky were LWC cycling senior Charles Mooney of Augusta, GA., and Cole Schmidt, son of LWC employees Chris and Rebecca Schmidt.

The 225-mile bike ride began Friday morning in Carrollton and finished Sunday afternoon at Dale Hollow Lake.

On Sunday morning, the bikers road through Columbia, where they stopped for brunch at the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center and also received a tour of the John B. Begley Chapel.

The bike ride, which attracted about 30 riders, is a fund-raiser to help re-open the Grand Theater in downtown Frankfort.
The writer, Duane Bonifer, is Director of Public Affairs at Lindsey Wilson College
