Veterans List grows by four names

Name of Revolutionary War soldier added. New additions bring to nine the total in Keltner and Turner families listed.

Robbie Turner Garrison wrote: I would like to thank you for this list honoring our veterans.I would like to add my uncles Ormal Turner, WWII; Eshia Turner, WWII; and Raymond Keltner, WWII also, the husband of my great great great great grandmother, William Hurt, born September 16, 1757 and died November 12, 1842 Revolutionary War, who is said to have been with General George Washington at Valley Forge and crossed the Delaware River with him.



Thanks. These names have been added to "Honoring Adair County Veterans who have served our country." There are now nine Keltners and nine Turners listed in their respective family breakouts. Columbia VFW Post 6097 and Ladies Auxiliary Post 6097 will hold their monthly meeting on each fourth Thursday at 7:00 pm at the VFW building at the fairgrounds. All members are asked to attend.
