ACHS wins Grand Championship at Eagle Classic Band received highest score of all 11 bands to win Grand Championship. First in class, as well. Also honored for best music, best visual, best colorguard, and best percussion. In Finals competion ACHS took overall awards in all captions! The Adair County Marching Band won the Grand Championship at the Eastern High School Eagle Classic in Louisville this past Saturday. It was a spectacular performance. "This was an impressive win for our students," Band Director Tim Allen said. "Theyve worked very hard to make improvements in the show and it paid off." The band received the highest score of all 11 other bands at the contest. Adair County also received preliminary awards for 1st place in class, as well as best music, best visual, best colorguard, and best percussion. The color guard captain is Kaitie Luckey, and co-captain is Megan Keltner. The percussion section leaders are Wes Walker and Joseph Payne. The Field Commander is Bonnie Cheng. Trumpet soloist is Dustin Warren. In Finals competition, Adair County took overall awards in all captions, including best percussion and best color guard, as well as receiving a Distinguished rating.
