ACHS Girls Golf: L. Goodin finishes 3rd at Warren E. Invitational Team has best score in tournament this season at Warren East. In other action this week, ACHS beats Campbellsville, drops matches to Taylor, Green By Kim Goodin All Adair County girls played well at the Warren East Invitational at Diamond Caverns this weekend. Adair shot a 373, their lowest team score in a tournament this season. Individual scoring:
The drought situationmade the course pretty tough, I was pleased with our play considering course conditions. Team Standings Green County won the tournament shooting a 355. Kate Larimore, Green County, won the tournament by winning the 1st hole of a playoff. Kate shot a 76 for the day. Adair Girls' beat Campbellsville; but drop matches to Taylor, Green On Thursday, Adair traveled to Taylor to play a tri-match with Taylor and Campbellsville. Taylor shot a 191 and Adair Co. posted a 210. Lauren Goodin finished with the low score for the day shooting a 40, Natalie Sneed 54, Natalie Curry, 56, Emilee Royse 60, Abby Royse 72. Campbellsville only had two participants but Adair's Goodin and Sneed posted individual wins over Campbellsville. On Friday, Adair played well but fell to Green County by 14 strokes. Adair shot a 183 with Green posting a 169.Kate Larimore led all golfers with a 34, Lauren Goodin shot a 35, Ashley Goodin 47, Natalie Sneed 49, Natalie Curry 52, Emilee Royse 57, and Abby Royse a 58. Adair County's match record now stands at 9-6 on the year. The girls' teamwill beback in action on Monday in the Heartland Conference Tournament which will be held at Pinewood Country Club. Play begins at 8:30 am and will run through about 3:00 pm in the afternoon. The Adair County Boys' Golf team will be participating as well. They are the defending Champions of the 2006 Heartland Conference Tournament. Good Luck from the Girls' Golf Team!!!
