Letter: Credit where credit is due for Prime Time Reading Prime Time Family Reading Time at Adair County Public Library is sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives About: http://www.columbiamagazine.com/index.php?sid=18927>Nothing but smiles at Prime Time Reading program at ACPLTo the editor, ColumbiaMagazine.com: This article incorrectly gives credit as the sponsor of this program as the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. While it is correct that the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities developed the Prime Time Family Reading Time, the fourteen programs held in Kentucky this year are sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. Our two organizations spend valuable time and resources each year seeking the necessary funding to support these programs in Kentucky. Our grant funding comes from the National Endowment for the Humanities We the People Initiative, the Scripps Howard Foundation, and the Institute of Museums and Libraries Association. Without the funding from these organizations, Prime Time would not be possible in Kentucky. The Adair County Public Library is doing a wonderful job with the Prime Time Program. Please consider giving the Kentucky Humanities Council and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives credit where credit is due. Kathleen Pool Associate Director Our apologies. A correction has been made to the story to give credit where credit is due. -CM This story was posted on 2007-09-02 06:14:02
