Feedback: Dave Rosenbaum thinks he know shooters About: Scenic Adair County Keepers of the ClockTo the editor, CM: You don't mention the names of the pigeon cullers but I would guess that Sonny Vaughn and Burley Young were probably among the bunch. As late as the early 1980's, the Franklin County Sportsman's Club was allowed to have periodic pigeon culling Sunday afternoons in Downtown Frankfort. The very thought of such slaughter must make the greenies blanche. Some of us, however, remember a 1963 Alfred Hitchcock documentary that demonstrated what can happen when you allow those birds to multiply without any controls. s/Dave Rosenbaum This story was posted on 2007-09-01 11:01:04
