45 Adair Countians have written to help get Helmets grant Link below helps you send your own comment This morning, the number of comments in support of the Adair County "Helmets for Kids" project has grown again. A list of 45 paragraph essays, many of them quite moving essays in themselves, were on the site at 9:48am CT, when it was last checked. People from all walks of life are lending their support to this Helmets for Kids program, which is already set to hand out 173 helmets to young Adair Countians who request them. The request is for $4,000. Through a special arrangement with Rex's Cycle, the helmets are being purchased for $20. Rick Wilson, chairperson of the program, emphasizes that every dollar raised for Helmets for Kids stays in Adair County.
