CWC PTA organizational meeting a success By Dana Harmon, Camp Casey Director On Thursday, August 23rd the organizational meeting for PTA was held at Col. Wm. Casey Elementary. A large number of parents, grandparents, teachers and students came out to offer their support. Principal Patty Jones led the meeting and outlined why an active PTA is so important to the school. PTA fundraisers have in the past provided our students with field trips, classroom equipment and materials. PTA also organizes and offers many on site activities for our students and their families. Many thanks to those who came out and offered their help and leadership for this school year. If you were unable to attend the meeting and would like to learn how you can become involved in PTA, please call CWC at 384-3367. Our future looks bright!! While parents were in the meeting, LWC Bonner Leaders provided activities, snacks and entertainment for the children who had accompanied their parents to the meeting. We cannot express enough thanks to LWC Bonner Leadership Coordinators, Amy Thompson-Wells and Elise Luckey for their continued support of our school activities and for sending us such wonderful student volunteers.
