Update! The change in time is due to the hot tempatures expected for Saturday.Coaches are hoping the one hour delay will allow for a less heat index, making a safer playing field for the boys. -CATHY (Posted at CM at1:30pmCT Friday, August 24, 2007.)

Football caravan leaves in hailstorm

2007-08-25 - Jamestown ST, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
The Adair County Football Caravan left the staging area at the old Payless Store parking lot on Jamestown ST on time, at 3:45pm Saturday, August 25, 2007, according to the clock on the right, led by a Columbia Police Cruiser, but in rather ominous weather. The caravan began rolling toward Greensburg amid nickel sized hail, rain and high winds bending Mayor Bell's new redbud trees toward Russell Springs, and lots of lightning and thunder. The Indians are scheduled to face Evarts at Greensburg tonight in a game which was delayed by one hour because of the heat. The storm did provide a cooling effect.
