Adair County veterans list grows by three names

To the editor, CM

Please add my grandparents and father-in-law to your veterans list.=
  • William Taft Sneed, WWII;
  • Jake Willis, WWII;
  • Dallas R Eaton - Vietnam (former Adair Countian)
Thank you.

Debbie Eaton

Thanks, the information has been added, except for Dallas R. Eaton's entry. We do not use the term "former Adair Countian." Owing to a correct Baptist upbringing, we believe in the doctrine "once an Adair Countian, always an Adair Countian," so his name is listed without qualifiers. Maybe we'll add that he is originally from the wilds of Wayne County, was born 100 years too late, and that the Montaignards wanted to adopt him into their tribe when he was attached to them in Vietnam. That he is a great patriot. -Ed
