ColumbiaMagazine.com story from Kim Goodin

Adair County girls' golf team beat Marion County but lost to Washington by 2 strokes and defeats Marion in a tri-match at Pinewood Country Club in Columbia on Tuesday, August 21, 2007.

Adair shot a 205 and Washington 203. Marion County only had two golfers but Adair defeated their #1 & # 2 golfers.

Bright spots in the match was newcomers Emilee Royse and Abby Royse who both shot under their average for the match. Abby finished with a 58 and Emilee a 59.

Lauren Goodin lead all scorers with a 41. Natalie Sneed shot a 48 and Natalie Curry a 58. Ashley Goodin missed the match due to an illness.

Coach's note: "It hurt us a little not having Ashley but our older girls could have picked up the slack if they could have shotbetter than their averages. I couldn't have ask anymore of Emilee or Abby."It is still early in the season and we have a tough match on Thursday against Green at their place. I am still pleased with how we have played."
