William (Tootie) Corbin added to Veterans List

The ColumbiaMagazine.com veterans list has been updated with the addition of a wonderful Adair Countian, William (Tootie) Corbin.

Mr. Corbin made thousands of friends during his association with Phelps Motors, the longtime General Motors dealership in Columbia. His name was sent to us by his son, Tommy Corbin.

With the addition, a Corbin family breakout, with five names now, was created in the list.

The creation of the list, with all its notes and linked stories, is an ongoing project. We appreciate both the prodigious amount of work done by those participating as well as you patience.

The list is still being built, and we are into a new phase, getting stories of wartime experiences, including those of the extraordinary heroism of Adair County Veterans.

Please use this: Contact/Submit button to submit material to be used to commemorate Adair County veterans. Photos are welcome, too.
