Sheriff seeking information on Atchley RD home invasion The Adair County Sheriff's department is seeking information relating to a forcible home invasion by an armed person, possibly more than one, at the home of Norman McDonald, Atchley Road, in the White Oak precinct (District One) Adair County near the Russell County line. The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, August 7. According to Adair County Sheriff's Department, the intruder or intruders fired a weapon several times inside the house before McDonald, the home owner, returned fired, causing the intruder or intruders to flee the scene. A minor injury was sustained by McDonald, who refused medical treatment. Anyone having information concerning this case should contact the Adair County Sheriff's Office at (270) 384-2776 or any local law enforcement agency.
