On Saturday August 11, 2007, the late David Speer will be inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in Florence Kentucky.

He was originally from Taylor County, but moved to Adair County around 1989. David was a former greens keeper at Pinewood Country Club.

Speaking for myself and the whole family, I am truly honored that my Dad is joining this very prestigious group. It really makes me happy to know that Dads memory lives on and this award will help it to live on forever.

I just wanted to let the people of this area know that one of their own is being recognized for a very successful career racing dirt late model cars.

The induction ceremony will be held before the race Saturday night at Florence Speedway.

For more information you can go to Florence Speedway.com or Dirt Bike Hall of Fame.com.
