Mystery plant appears in Columbia flower garden Is it a weed or a desirable plant? Marsha Walker wrote asking help with identification of a mystery plant which appeared in her flower bed this year. "I have no idea what it is, but I have watered it and asked several people to identify it," she wrote. "It just occurred to me that a reader might know. I don' t know if it is a weed or a desirable plant, but it is hardy." She asks, "Can anyone tell me what it is?" Mystery plant photoIf any reader knows the answer, please respond using the Contact/Submit button. If possible, sharel a family story about the plant if you have one, and send links, and common and scientific names if you know them. If you'd care to share your method of plant identification, that would be great. -Ed This story was posted on 2007-08-08 05:00:57
