Fatality occurs when Pathfinder leaves road, strike culvert, tree Jamestown driver airlifted to Lexington; sister pronounced dead at Russell County Hospital A one vehicle fatal accident occurred at 2:45pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2007, five miles south of Jamestown, KY, on KY 3281 (Warriner Ridge Road. Japeth Miller, 17, Jamestown, KY, was traveling South on KY 3281 in a 1987 Nissan Pathfinder when he dropped of the shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected, and struck a culvert and a tree. Miller was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Miller's 17 year old sister, Natasha Miller, Jamestown, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was transported to the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, where she was later pronounced dead by Russell County Coroner Larry Skaggs. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Mike Woodrum of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, was assisted at the scene by Trooper Wendell Higginbotham, Deputy Clete McAninch with the Russell County Sheriff's Department, the Jamestown Fire Department, South Russell Fire Department, and Russell County EMS.
